Welcome to My Blog!
I wanted to just let readers know how my writing journey began.
As I stated in my first book "The Song that Broke the Baton" The Lord gave me a story of a young girl who played a broken violin back in 2007. I could see the little girl vividly but I was very busy so I just put it away stating to myself that I wasn't a writer.
Here we are in May of 2026 and I just finished the first book in a trilogy that I plan to write. It first came about in December of 2025. We were snowed in and could not get out of our driveway so I just went to my office after my time with the Lord and sat in front of my computer. The story came up for the first time in years. I started typing and it just came. I didn't have to think about it at all it was if the Lord's hands were on my hands guiding every stroke of the keyboard. Little did I know this was going to be my very first book.

It didn't happen all in one day. There were days nothing came. So I just waited on the Lord. I always knew when it was time to write again. I always had my husband read what was written to make sure it made sense. It isn't a large book since its part of a trilogy and the audience is 10 years+. I edited it 5 times myself When I completed it. I had several others people read and edit it. I feel like editing is a very big part of writing. When I got the proof copy I found that the epilogue was in the front instead of the back, and there were still typos and the formatting from Atticus to amazon did not travel well. I told my husband I was just going to have to redo. He said absolutely not. Your story is about perfectionism and performance not being what God wants so its perfect to leave it the way it is.
This came against everything within me. I just didn't think it was a good idea. I prayed about it and the Lord said leave it and see what I will do for you.... oh my is all I can say. I obeyed.
The sister I haven't seen for 65 years.
My sister Bonnie Diane Tharp better known as author: B.D. Tharp gave me some geat pointers one evening. I took a chance and called her. I follow her facebook page and I knew she had published many books. Not only did she give me great pointers we started a new relationship. We will see what God does with that. Its been fun. She lives in Wichita Kansas where all the rest of my family lives and I am hoping to go see her the next visit I make. We have many years to catch up on.
I want to share as I go along about the books that come from the Lord. I hope you enjoy the journey with me.
